There are a couple of utilities which are bundled with Tag-O-Matic, and also a couple of other utilities which are available separately. This page contains information on these programs, and where you can get them from.

TagUtil

(Comes with Tag-O-Matic)

As from version 13 of Tag-O-Matic, most of the additional features and utilities are handled by a separate program, called TagUtil. Running tagutil.exe will give you a list of features, and tagutil.doc gives a complete explaination of each one. TagUtil can be used to steal taglines from messages or message bases, remove long taglines, de-dupe tagfiles, add random origins/moods, untag a message, sort a tagfile, filter a tagfile, UUDecode a message, split tagfiles, search/replace tagfiles and more.

TSort

(Comes with Tag-O-Matic)

TSort (or TagSort) is a small program which will sort a tagfile alphabetically. This is essential prior to dupe-checking the file.
NB: There is no relation between this TSORT, and another TSORT out there which only sorts 2 characters deep. This one sorts fully.

TagGrab

The main use for TagGrab is in FidoNet, and the echos TAGLINES and TAGLINES_UK specifically. Posters of taglines in these echos are asked to start the list with [Begin Tags] and end it with [End Tags]. This utility will grab everything between the two markers and add them to your tagfile.
